Re-registering for the new My Medibank

We have upgraded our systems to enable us to make improvements and this means your details are no longer saved. For security reasons we need you to re-register with new login details.

Usernames are now email addresses

Recent upgrades to My Medibank mean you now log in with your email address instead of a username. If you can’t remember your registered email address just click Forgot username. You’ll need to have your membership number handy (check your membership card if unsure).

A unique email address for each member

Because you now log in using your email address, we need each member on the policy to have their own separate email address. This protects your privacy and is more secure.

Check your inbox for activation emails

When you register, reset your password or update your email address an activation email is sent to your registered email address. You need to click the activation link in the email to complete the request.

Please note that the link will expire after 48 hours. After this time, if you attempt to log in without having activated your account, you will be sent another link. You need to make sure you’re clicking on the latest activation link, as any older ones will have expired.

Password specifications

Your password for My Medibank must be a minimum of seven characters and contain at least one lowercase letter and one number.

Password reset email will only be sent if the username is a valid one

When you request a password reset email we can only send the email if we’re able to match the details entered with our records. 

Viewing claims history

The claims history for any dependents on your policy under 16 years of age will appear automatically. You’re not able to view the claims history for anyone over 16 years of age on the policy.

My Medibank is a web-based application. This means issues related to your web browser and system settings could prevent you from logging into your account.

If you’re experiencing issues:

  • Try to log in through a different browser than the one you’re currently using.
  • Make sure your browser is the latest stable release.
  • Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser.
  • Your browser needs to have cookies turned on.

If you have Medibank Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) you can log in here to make claims and manage your membership.
